Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

The candidate will join the Machine Learning team within the Artificial Intelligence & Robotic Process Automation department and will mainly focus on computer vision applications, with the following responsibilities:

• Explore, define, and support the deployment of tools based on deep learning and machine learning to enhance production processes.
• Maintenance and development of AI algorithms and models currently in production.
• Software development to support team projects.
• Data management pipelines implementation, from extraction and transformation to data available for training machine learning algorithms.
•  Monitoring the performance metrics of algorithms and models.
• Defining technical requirements and conducting pre-production tests in collaboration with SW/HW Development teams.
• Effectively communicate results, even to non-technical audiences.
• Interact with experts from various Production Units and departments to identify improvement opportunities related to the application of machine learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Data Science, Statistics, Big Data Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Engineering, or related fields with excellent academic results.

• Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Python, C++, C#.
•  Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch, …).
• Competence in Computer Vision / image processing algorithms.
• Understanding of key image classification techniques, segmentation, and object detection.
• Good ability to apply mathematical models in a production environment
• Strong analytical skills and results-oriented mindset.
• Strong ability to work in a team
• Good command of the English language
• Availability for short trips in Italy and abroad are required.
